Recipe | A Spring Spritz
Give me sunshine and I will crave a picnic table, a good al fresco meal and a fun, bubbly beverage. If you’ve never tried Lillet on its own, now is your time. It’s a French aperitif created by blending Bordeaux wines and fruit liquors, aged in oak barrels.
It’s light in alcohol content, not too sweet, and delicious on its own with an ice cube and lemon peel, but here’s an easy and bubbly recipe perfect for the springtime.
// The Recipe //
2 oz of Lillet (Rose or Blanc, I prefer blanc)
2 oz of sparkling wine, like Prosecco
a dash of Orange bitters (optional)
Sparkling water - club soda or your favorite citrus flavored sparkling
Garnish with your favorite citrus slices and sprig of fresh herb
// To Assemble //
easy!
Combine all elements in your favorite glass over ice. Enjoy!
