Recipe | A Winter Simmer Pot

A sunny but cold winter day at home called for a cozy simmer pot that would fill my kitchen with scents of warm spices, winter citrus and fresh herbs. Read on for a simple and easily adjustable recipe

Jar your own variations to hand-craft thoughtful holiday gifts
1 Orange sliced
A few handfuls of fresh cranberries 
3-4 springs of fresh rosemary
Small handful of cloves + star anise 
3-4 cinnamon sticks

Adjust to use what you have on hand: apple, fresh cedar sprigs, cardamom pods, sage, eucalyptus...the variations are pleasing and endless



Add your elements to your simmer pot, fill with water and heat slowly on your stovetop. Enjoy for hours, and even days! Refilling your water as needed.
