Behind The Scenes | High Desert Spring

The drive from Portland to Sunriver was full of sweet conversations, a playlist curated by Sarah’s oldest, Lou, gasps at the dramatic change in landscape and the curiosity of whether or not Spring had actually arrived on the other side of the pass

The truth is, Spring is allowed to be sporadic and unpredictable. The whole of the earth is waking up from a very long rest, we can’t blame her for taking her time. So we were quick to forgive the piles of snow the ground was still holding on to

The Oregon high desert is home to one of my favorite color palettes: golds, sage greens, peachy pinks, reds of rock and browns of tree bark. We love how our ceramics compliment nature’s organic hues and worked with the color orange to invite in the bright life of spring

Budding branches cut from my property and seasonal produce were our main accessories

Cabin Rancho’s beautiful interior was the perfect environment to celebrate our new handmade pieces and the spring season

We may have some elements of shoot days down to a science, but it definitely is the magic of creating something, (usually a mess at first), together that brings it all to life. We’re a cute team.

Where should we pack up and head to next?

xoxo,

Roe, Kris & Sarah
